great access to downtown attractions and park views

We had such a pleasant experience at this recently updated motel, where everything felt clean and new, and the friendly staff really made us feel at home while we explored nearby landmarks like the Dobson Museum and the Route 66 Vintage Iron Motorcycle Museum just a short walk away, making our weekend city strolls incredibly enjoyable. however, the breakfast options could use some improvement.

The King Room on the second floor featured new bedding that added a nice touch to the overall comfort. The heater functioned efficiently, ensuring the room stayed at a cozy temperature throughout the stay.

The absence of an elevator might pose a challenge if you're hauling heavy bags or traveling with anyone who has mobility difficulties. Needing to contact the desk via a cell phone for assistance was a bit cumbersome, especially during late hours.

Consider me officially shocked

I was astonished by the kindness of the front desk staff during check-in, making my arrival pleasant. The pool's late closure allowed for some much-needed relaxation. Regrettably, the breakfast offerings were dismal with many machines out of order, leaving guests disappointed. A touch more attention to detail could make this place shine!

Yet, I was dismayed by cleanliness issues. a cockroach appeared in the room shortly after arrival.

However, the mattress cover had a noticeable stain on it, which was off-putting. The upholstered chair looked dirty too. The carpet in the room seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. The bathroom fan didn’t work, making it a bit stuffy, and the toilet kept running every so often, which was annoying. The fridge was larger than most I've seen in motels, but keeping it operational required leaving the entryway light on all night, because it shut off the power to it and other devices when turned off. This was inconvenient. Despite these issues, the bed was comfortable for our needs.

We had a fun time using the pool, and the kids loved it! The room was spacious and clean, making it easy for our large family of nine to relax. Plus, we were close to the Route 66 Vintage Iron Motorcycle Museum, which was super cool to explore together.

My kids wished for a bigger dining area for breakfast. The choice was good, but we struggled to find enough seats for everyone, making it a bit hectic in the mornings.
